Select maintenance items performed over the years of my ownership: serviced as needed at European Autoworks in Greenwich (great local shop, exclusively specializing in servicing German vehicles – highly recommended); new thermostat and water pump; new alternator and belt; new radiator, expansion tank, and various new hoses as needed; new coils and spark plugs; new engine valve cover. All theses were preventive maintenance, as those items fail in these cars with age. Recent brake job including pads and fluid change as required. Motor oil (always Liqui Moly, 5W-30 Special Tech) and filter, and other filters (cabin and air) changed every 3,000 miles, or once a year, whichever came sooner.
Extras: new AGM battery, and an extra set of tires (Pirelli, run flat).
